Three measures of the same idea
Repetition inside a string can be counted several ways, and this panel runs three of them. The first looks for the longest stretch of a single symbol repeated immediately, like a doubled letter. The second counts how many two symbol sequences occur more than once anywhere in the same address. The third looks for the longest chunk of any length that appears twice inside one address.
The first comes back with a small number. The second and third come back with nothing, and the tiles say so with an empty state rather than showing a zero dressed up as a result.
Why the empty tiles matter more than the full one
A tile that finds nothing is the most important tile on this panel, and it is the reason the board has a designed empty state at all. The easy thing to do would be to quietly leave those tiles out, and a reader would never know the measurement had been attempted.
That is how dashboards start lying. Not by inventing figures, but by only showing the measurements that returned something interesting. Once a board does that, every remaining number is selected, and selection is a kind of fiction.
So the empty tiles stay, with a line saying exactly what came back empty. It also happens to be a genuinely informative result: it says these strings contain no internal echoes at all, which is what you would expect from key material and not at all what you would expect from something a person composed.
The one repetition that does exist
The longest run measure finds something small. Somewhere in each address a symbol repeats immediately, and the bars show how long the longest such run is per address.
A doubled symbol is worth knowing about for one practical reason. It is the single easiest thing to get wrong when transcribing, because a doubled character reads as one character at speed and a single character reads as doubled when you are being careful. If you ever do compare an address by eye, the doubled symbols are where to slow down.
Vowels the fourth tile
The last tile counts vowel letters per address. Vowels are not special to the format, which treats every letter identically, but they are special to a reader, because a stretch with no vowels in it is a stretch that cannot be pronounced or held in memory.
The counts vary between the three, and the variation means nothing about the addresses. It means something about how they feel to read. The panel on vowel runs takes that further and measures the longest unpronounceable stretch in each one.
What the absence of repetition tells you
It confirms what the format implies: these strings are not words, not abbreviations, and not composed by anybody. Text written by a person repeats constantly. Common letter pairs recur, syllables recur, and the same short chunks show up several times in a line of ordinary text.
None of that happens here, and its absence is the clearest evidence on the whole board that an address must be handled as data rather than as a name. You cannot remember it, you cannot reconstruct it from a fragment, and there is no internal structure to fall back on if you lose a piece.
The practical consequence of having no echoes
Text with internal repetition is partially self correcting. If you mistype a common word, the shape of the surrounding text usually gives it away, and a reader can often reconstruct what was meant. A string with no repetition offers none of that. Every character is load bearing and none of them can be inferred from its neighbours.
That is why a half remembered address is worth nothing at all. Not less than a full one, nothing. There is no partial credit, no way to fill a gap from context, and no version of the string that is mostly right.
It is also why the storage question matters more than the checking question for most people. Somewhere between visits, the address has to survive intact, and the panel on where an address lives between visits is about exactly that problem.
Reading this panel wrong
